Harnessing the power of stone, a natural and diverse material which man has worked for thousands of years is a fascinating experience for me.
Early stone carving and primitive art are a particular inspiration. A rough block of stone may alternatively suggest an abstract form.
I have carved numerous different and varied stones including Zimbabwean serpentine and springstone, Italian marble, English and European alabaster, and also simple British and French limestones.
Carving by hand is very fulfilling and uses techniques which respect our ancient traditions while providing a platform for creative expression
Some sculptures are for sale; please contact the artist for details.
