biographyArtist's work»
Through my previous interest in oil and watercolour painting and clay sculpture, I was fortunate to discover Esther Joseph and her work at the Open Studio in 2001. After attending her life class in clay sculpture I started working in stone under Esther's patient guidance.
I have had a lifelong fascination for and appreciation of stone in all its forms and now get immense joy in attempting to re-form stone in a permanent way. I prefer to search for inspiration within a particular piece to stone and my work is mostly concerned with the human figure and human relationships. My other sculpture interest is working portrait heads in clay.
Some sculptures are for sale, please contact the artist for details.
